I brought my vehicle to Jim Whaley’s on July 8 for a bad roaring noise, which they diagnosed as a front wheel bearing. I paid $700 for the repair. Immediately upon picking up the car, it was making an alarming noise—turns out the technician installed the dust shield incorrectly, forcing me to turn right around and bring it back. Worse yet, after fixing the dust shield, the original roaring noise remained. I brought the car back a couple of weeks later for a third visit, only to be told the noise was actually coming from a rear bearing and that it would cost another $500 to fix. Refusing to pay more money after a failed $700 attempt, I took my vehicle to Scott Stevens instead. They correctly diagnosed and replaced the rear bearing for $350, and the car now runs completely smoothly. Jim Whaley’s charged $700 for an unnecessary repair, performed sloppy work, and tried to charge me another $500 to fix the actual issue. To make matters worse, I emailed management directly about this a couple days ago and received zero response. Save your money and take your business to a shop that accurately diagnoses problems and stands behind its work.

This is the first time in 21 years I’ve been disappointed and the last time I’ll used the location on 2237 Montgomery Hwy. Or any of there locations for that matter. I say that as a point of caution as I am not confident that the company upholds the same standards that once myself and my family relied upon. Although I spent just over $2000.00 dollars during this visit, which includes warranties, moving forward I’d rather pay for my follow-up repairs and maintenance somewhere I feel comfortable with as this experience has damaged my trust. There’s something rather shady about the personnel there! That’s unfortunate however, it’s good to know as I can seek other formidable options to which I can have my vehicles serviced.

Passing through Dothan, Alabama on my way to North Dakota with my motorcycle in tow my right brake caliper locked up my brake. I made contact with this fine tire and auto service shop and was directed to the shop. Quickly they diagnosed my problem, ordered parts and changed my brake caliper to get me back on my trip just before closing for the weekend. They only had to wait for the brake assembly to cool down. It was white hot. All the guys, the front man, mechanic and tire guys all worked together to get me fixed up. A great team. Thanks guys. I love Dothan.

Great experience at Jim Whaley tires This week. Really appreciate Devin and his crew getting us taken care of. My F-150 needed some new brakes and hub assemblies to fix a bad bearing. They did a great job getting us taken care of in one day. I had received an estimate from another mechanic in town and was given an outrageous price. These guys were fair and reasonable and gave us great service. My business goes strictly here now.

I wanna take the time to Thank Jim’s Whaley and crew for fixing my car. I pulled up and they got me right. The staff was friendly and they work fast and get the job done. God bless yall nd the business And thank The Nice Man that towed my car to them. The first pic is how it was towed to them and the second one is the ending result. It’s driving like a new car
